Microsoft launched today a sleek new notebook webcam – the LifeCam NX-3000.
The Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 features 640-by-480 pixel resolution in video mode, and is capable to capture high-resolution still images with its 1.3 megapixel sensor. The NX-3000 has a built-in unidirectional microphone with acoustic noise cancellation.
This laptop-use LifeCam also provides an automatic audio control for enhanced sound clarity, while the swivel lens allows users to adjust the camera angle.
The LifeCam NX-3000 will be widely available in September 2007 for an estimated retail price of $59.95, according to the press release.
In addition, Microsoft announced the LifeCam VX-7000, aimed at desktop computers. It is priced at $99.95.
