Microsoft Surface Pro 4 & Surface Book Cyber Monday Deals 2016

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 & Surface Book Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals 2016

Update: The Cyber Monday deals are no longer available, but there are some other good Surface discounts on Microsoft’s Store.

The 2016 Cyber Monday deals on Microsoft Surface PC series are now live. At this time, we know of deals by Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and Amazon.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Cyber Monday 2016 Deals

Regarding the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 12.3″ tablet on the official Microsoft Store, the most notable Cyber Monday deals for now are $200 off an Intel Core i5 processor-based model and $429 off an SP4 bundle with a keyboard cover included.

  • The Surface Pro 4 with the 6th Gen Intel Core i5-6300U processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB SSD storage is now $799 instead of regular $999. The offer is available on this Microsoft Store page.
  • As for the bundle deal, included is a model with the same i5 CPU, but with larger 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. Together with a Type Cover it’s $999 and can be purchased on Microsoft’s website, too.

The Surface Pen is a standard part in the package with the i5 models. In addition, a free sleeve is included.

Best Buy currently has one Surface Pro 4 deal. It’s the same 799-dollar deal you can find on the MS Store, but without the free sleeve.

Please note that the listed deals aren’t necessarily the best ones available. For instance, last week you could buy the i5 / 4GB RAM / 128GB SSD Surface Pro 4 for ~$790 on Amazon. Also, other configurations of the tablet are offered with reduced prices on the same Amazon page. It’s worth noting that Amazon changes product pricing and discounts very often, so we aren’t able to post the exact prices here.

Microsoft Surface Book Cyber Monday 2016 Deals

Microsoft Store now offers the Microsoft Surface Book 13.5″ laptop / tablet hybrid for only $1,249.00 after $250 off. That’s the cheapest price for this device ever.

  • The $1249.00 model includes the Intel Core i5 processor, 128GB SSD, 8GB RAM, and Intel’s basic HD graphics. It is an entry-level Surface Book configuration.
  • A higher-end model with a dedicated Nvidia video card, larger 256GB SSD, and the same Intel i5 CPU and 8GB RAM is available for $1,499 after Black Friday / Cyber Monday price slash of $400. The digitizer Pen is included with all models.
  • The fastest and most expensive configurations with the Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia video card are selling with $200 instant off savings. They are now $1,899 and up.

To get these discounts, please follow this link: Microsoft Store Surface Book page and select your desired configuration on the chart menu ($1,499 is default option, but you can change it to $1,249 or some other model). A digitizer pen is included with all models.

Best Buy’s Cyber Monday ad lists Surface Book with up to $400 instant savings. Basically, they have the same $1,249 and $1,499 SB deals as those by Microsoft Store.

Surface Book with Performance Base, Surface Studio, and Other Deals

So far, we don’t have info about special offers on the latest Microsoft Surface Studio PC and Surface Book with Performance Base series. From the past years we have learned that no meaningfully good Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are available for the newest Surface products. Older versions such as the last year’s Surface Pro 4 and original Surface Book are a different story as you can see in this post. If you want to buy the Surface Studio or Surface Book with Performance Base at their regular prices, you can do it via the Microsoft Store and other sellers.

If you are interested in the discontinued Surface Pro 3 or Surface 3, multiple product pages on Amazon offer them with up to around $500 and $200 off the original price, respectively.

For future updates, please bookmark and check back this page. We’ll update it as soon as we find out new discounts. This post was updated last time on November 28th 2016, 01AM ET.

  1. I bought the SP4 at best buy today. They included a type cover that normally cost $130 ish. It’s near $700 total with the stylus and 9% tax.

  2. i almost went ahead and bought the sp4 today but came across your article. how many more days until there will be more discounts, do you think?

    • Usually, Best Buy has good Black Friday deals on Surface products. Their ad leaked last year around November 10th, so around that date I expect their deals to appear on this page. Also, the Microsoft Store will very likely offer some instant savings. I expect their ads a little bit later, maybe in the week prior to Black Friday. Surprisingly, Amazon had excellent deals last year. Select models were cheaper there even before Black Friday & Cyber Monday than on Best Buy and MS Store on BF and CM.

    • The Intel Core m3-6y30 in the basic Surface Pro 4 scores around 3,000 points in popular PassMark benchmark, while the i5-6300U scores around 4,300. If you’re only into basic work like web surf, Office, Netflix etc, this difference isn’t huge. But it will be noticeable in heavy tasks like video production etc.

However, a great advantage of the Intel m3-based SP4 is its fanless design. The m3 has much lower cooling requirements and also consumes less power than the i5 and i7 versions, so you should have a slightly better battery life with it.

    • At the Microsoft Store it starts at $799, which is the lowest price for the i5 / 4GB / 128GB model. If it’s sold out when you visit the site (it goes to “out of stock” status frequently), the next best option is the same device at Amazon for $877. That the price for a Windows 8.1-based configuration, but you can upgrade it to Windows 10 for free. But keep in mind that for only $23 more you can regularly get the Surface Pro 4 Intel Core i5 / 128GB for $999. At Best Buy, the i5/128GB SP3 configuration is out of stock, but the i5/256GB one is still available for $999.

    • If you’re referring to the points in the Black Friday / Cyber Monday 2015 deals list, these are PassMark benchmark scores for devices’ processors.

    • Thanks for the tip Craig. I’ve included the 512GB Surface Pro 3 deal in the post. On the other hand, the 256GB i7 model is currently $1,297.99 on Amazon, while Best Buy will sell it $1,249.99, so Best Buy’s deal is definitely worth mentioning. Also, Microsoft Store’s deals can be potentially better than the current Amazon’s, since for instance the cheapest model on Amazon is offered with $80 off, whereas MS Store currently offers $100 off on it, with possibility to reduce the price even further on Nov. 26th. But, yeah, Amazon’s page will be worth checking out in the following days, since they change / lower the prices quite often.

  3. Any news on free keyboards like last year? There was Surface 2 with keyboard for $200. The $300 deal w/o keyboard isn’t worth it.

    • Nothing so far. By the way, the $200 deal was actually for the original Surface RT 1 and keyboard. It was an excellent deal anyway. I’ve checked Micro Center again this year, but no such or similar offers are available.
