Micro-Star Int’l has released the MSI M673 15.4-inch (1280 x 800) widescreen notebook PC series, featuring support for AMD Turion 64 x2 dual-core processors, as well as Mobile Sempron CPUs.
The various MSI M673 configurations are built on nVidia GeForce 6100 (C51MV) + nVidia MCP51M Chipset and provide Geforce Go 7400 256MB Turbo Cache graphics. The M673 supports up to 2GB of main memory and SATA hard drive with up to 120GB of storage capacity. It ships with combo optical drive or with DVD burner.
Regarding communications, there are built in 802.11b/g wireless, Gigabit Ethernet and a 56k modem, along with an optional Bluetooth connection. For audio/video communication, MSI M673 incorporates 1.3 megapixel web camera and an internal microphone.
The new MSI laptop has a variety of ports and slots, including PCMCIA and PCI Express slots, 6-in-1 card reader, DVI and S-Video outputs, four USB ports and a Fire-Wire.
MSI M673 engineers have managed to implement keyboard with numeric pad in this 15.4-inch notebook. It also features MSI’s own heat dissipation technology - the Advanced Cooling System (ACS) – to enable cool laptop operation, as same as MSI VIVID technology for enhanced video and pictures quality.
The M673 weighs around 5.7 pounds and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.
Currently there is no information on its availability in the United States. It is available at select European online stores for approximately from 880 to 1,250 Euros (1, 156 – 1,640 US dollars), depending on hardware configuration.
