Asus Lamborghini laptop, whose VX1 model is available in the USA from the last week, will have its new release at the start of 2007, PC Advisor reports.
The Asus (Asustek) company would not say if it will carry an Intel or AMD processor. “We have to discuss everything with our partner first,” said Sunny Han, director of marketing at Asus.
The current Asus Lamborghini VX1 features 15-inch screen, Intel Core Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForceGo 7400VX graphics card with 512MB of video memory, and a 160GB hard drive. Its price in the US is around $2800.
Part of the hefty price tag comes from its paint job, which is sprayed on in the same manner as auto paint, and designer branding, report says.
No matter if new model will be AMD or Intel powered notebook, we assume that Asus Lamborghini’s current 32-bit processor will probably be replaced with one of the 64-bit CPUs.
