Asustek Computer (ASUS) today launched 13.3-inch screen R1F tablet PC, featuring the latest Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile (Merom) processor. The Asus R1F incorporates Intel’s 945GM Express Chipset, up to 2GB of RAM and a SATA hard drive with 80GB, 100GB or 120GB of storage space.
Relative to connectivity, the R1F tablet PC comes with 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR.
One of the R1F’s security features is a fingerprint reader, but you can also setup multi-factor authentication requirements for data access of different security level with ASUS Security Protect Manager.
The Asus R1F tablet PC, which weights 4,36 pounds, can be configured with Core 2 Duo T5500, T5600, T7200 or T7400 processor, but also can be powered by CPUs from Intel’s Core Duo family.
The R1F comes with Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system and InfoPen software for handwritten input capability.
The info about Asustek’s Core 2 Duo tablet PC’s availability in the US isn’t provided in press release, as same as its price and battery life.
