NVIDIANVIDIA Corporation today announced the notebook-use GeForce 8700M GT graphics processing unit (GPU), designed for gaming and high-definition multimedia content playback.

As well as the entire GeForce 8M Series laptop GPU lineup, the high-end GeForce 8700M GT supports DirectX 10 games, so the video card is compatible with the recently released DX10 version of Company of Heroes, and with upcoming highly anticipated Crysis from Crytek and Lost Planet from Capcom.

For further power saving, there is NVIDIA PowerMizer technology that balances notebook’s battery life and performance.

The GeForce 8700M GT GPU is expected to be used in laptops from Toshiba, Sager, Prostar, Eurocom, Biohazard, Connoiseur, Cybersystem, Hypersonic, MALIBAL, Multirama, rock, Evesham, Falcon Northwest, Plaisio, XS2, Nexoc, Hyrican, Vigor Gaming, Voodoo PC, and many others.
