Graeme, the 7950 GTX doesn’t support DX 10. The NVIDIA’s DirectX 10 compatible video cards for laptops are GeForce 8M series and the new Quadro GPU’s. From AMD-ATI there are DX10-ready ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 and HD 2400.
