NVIDIA today released the GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics processing unit (GPU). According to the company, it is “the world’s fastest notebook GPU on the market”.
The new GeForce Go 7950 GTX GPU features DirectX 9.0, Shader Model 3.0 and film quality high dynamic range (HDR) lighting, “delivering vivid realism to HD games”.
For HD DVD and Blu-Ray playback, the GPU offers acceleration of HD video formats like H.264 through NVIDIA PureVideo technology that delivers a “high-definition home theater video experience to the PC”.
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX GPU also incorporates NVIDIA PowerMizer technology for an advanced power management to save notebook’s battery life.
In North America, laptops featuring the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX GPU are available for order from Dell, Sager, ABS, Falcon Northwest, Hypersonic, ProStar, and Voodoo.
