OLPC XO LaptopStarting today, the OLPC’s XO laptop is available for purchase in the United States through the “Give One Get One” program.

“Between November 12 and November 26, OLPC is offering a Give One Get One program in the United States and Canada. During this time, you can donate the revolutionary XO laptop to a child in a developing nation, and also receive one for the child in your life in recognition of your contribution”, the non-profit organization One Laptop per Child says.

A purchase of these two laptops costs $399.

The XO computer features a 7.5-inch display, the AMD Geode LX-700 processor at 433MHz, 256 MB of system memory, 1GB of storage capacity, and a water and dust resistant chassis. This small notebook utilizes a Linux-based user interface called Sugar.
