Pinnacle Systems has announced the retail availability of Pinnacle PCTV HD Stick, the sub-$100 USB TV tuner for watching high definition TV on laptop and desktop computers.
Pinnacle PCTV HD Stick enables HDTV watching via ATSC, which is the new digital TV standard. The ATSC comes over-the-air and for free in high or standard definition, with no required subscription fees. In addition, Pinnacle PCTV HD Stick supports standard analog TV (NTSC) via cable or antenna. This Windows Vista- and Windows Media Center-certified device enables consumers to view live television on their PC with pause, rewind and fast-forward time-shifting, as well as with recording functionality.
For more advanced features, Pinnacle also offers PCTV HD Pro Stick with a mini remote control, a portable high-gain telescopic antenna, and support for capturing from set-top boxes, camcorders or VCRs.
The PCTV HD Stick and the PCTV HD Pro Stick are priced at $99.99, and $129.99 respectively. Both are available at popular retailers and on-line resellers.
