Samsung Enters US Laptop Market; Initially Offers 7 Laptops

Samsung R LaptopSamsung announced today that it will enter the North American laptop market, initially offering seven notebook models.

The lineup for the U.S. customers includes the Samsung N10 netbook, Q310 and X360 ultraportables, X460 thin-and-light model, and R610 desktop replacement, as well as P460 and P560 business laptops.

“Samsung’s NC10 netbook is sure to give the Eee PC and others a run for their money. With a 10.2-inch wide display, enhanced 6-cell battery battery and 160GB hard drive it will carry a $499 price tag. The Q310 is a highly portable all-purpose laptop for $1,149 and $1,299, featuring a 13.3-inch wide LCD. The R610, with an price of $1,049, is a desktop replacement that features a 16-inch 16:9 aspect ration display. The X360 and X460 are 13.3 and 14.1-inch ultra thin-and-light laptops that start at $1,599. Completing Samsung’s entry into the laptop market are the business-focused P460 and P560, which are ruggedized laptops with a price range of $1,149 to $1,399,” Laptop Magazine reports.
