Samsung’s new business-class laptops - the 14.1-inch P460 and 15.4-inch P560 - are now available in the United States.
The models offered at NewEgg are the Samsung P460-44G and Samsung P560-54G, both featuring the Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor at 2GHz, 3GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. The P460-44G includes the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, while the P560-54G comes with the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 256MB video card. The displays in the notebooks have a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
Both Windows Vista Business-powered laptops have a 1.3-megapixel web camera, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, Gigabit LAN, modem, and Bluetooth connections, HDMI and VGA outputs, a 3-in-1 media card reader, and PC card slot.
Regarding security, there is a fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module chip.
The 14.1-incher has three USB ports and weighs 5.3 pounds, while the 5.8-pound 15.4-incher has four USBs.
The Samsung P460-44G and Samsung P560-54G are priced at $1,099.99 and $1,149.99 respectively. The prices reflect instant savings.
