Samsung Launches New Laptop & Netbook Lineup at IFA

Samsung has unveiled its new mobile computer lineup with the latest SF, QX, and RF laptop series and NF netbooks at the IFA Show in Berlin.

The SF notebooks with the Intel Core i3 processors are on the lower-end on the lineup and include switchable graphics solution with Intel’s HD integrated and Nvidia’s GeForce dedicated graphics. The notebooks will be available in form of 13.3-inch SF310, 14″ SF410, and 15.6″ SF510.

The same notebook sizes are available in the new mid-range QX series including QX310, QX410, and QX510 models, all with Core i5 chips, Intel HD/GeForce hybrid graphics, aluminum exterior, and edge-to-edge display glass.

The SF and QX have a new slim lithium-polynmer battery providing 7.7 hours of run time and anti-reflective displays.

Samsung’s high-end RF comes in 15.6″ (RF510) and 17.3″ (RF710) sizes and has i5 and i7 CPUs, including quad-core chips, as well as a GeForce dedicated video card, enhanced acoustic chamber system audio, and dual HDDs in the 17.3-incher. Users can choose between glossy and anti-reflective screens.

Finally, the NF Series NF110 and NF120 netbooks are based on dual-core Intel Atom and provide 11 hours of battery life. Both netbooks have anti-glare displays.

Samsung has also announced that their new lineup incorporates Fast Start technology that enables a 3-second bootup using hybrid boot technology.

Additionally, the company announced a release of laptop PCs equipped with LTE mobile broadband technology by the end of this year.

The first notebooks from the new lineup will be aviailable in October. There’s no word on pricing.
