Sony VAIO notebooks with new Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” processors are now available for purchase.
These 45-nanometer CPUs can be found in customizable and preconfigured 17-inch VAIO AR7, 15.4-inch FZ4, 14.1-inch CR4, and 13.3-inch SZ7 laptop PCs.
Sony’s refreshed laptops are offered with the T8100, T8300, T9300, and T9500 “Penryn” chips, which are claimed to provide better performance, longer battery life, and cooler operation than their 65nm Core 2 Duo “Merom” precursors.
