Asus G752VL-BHI7N32 17.3″ Gaming Laptop with Nvidia GTX 965M, Intel i7, 12GB / 1TB

The Asus G752VL-BHI7N32 is one of the configurations from the latest G752 17.3-inch gaming notebook series. The G752VL-BHI7N32 is among lower-end configs, but is still a very capable mobile gaming rig thanks to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M 2GB GDDR5 video card, the 6th Gen Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad-core processor, and 12GB of DDR4 RAM.

The notebook comes with only an old-school mechanical 1-Terabyte 5,400rpm hard drive, but you can add M.2-format solid state drive storage to it and also upgrade RAM to maximal 64GB. Screen resolution is 1920×1080 pixels and the display features IPS-powered wide viewing angles. Although all G752 models were claimed to have Nvidia G-Sync technology at the product launch back in September, that feature is missing from the specs sheet of the G752VL-BHI7N32.

Other listed specs include a built-in DVD burner, stereo speakers helped by a subwoofer, web camera, Thunderbolt 3.0 technology via a new USB-C type port with video output support, mini DisplayPort and HDMI dedicated video outputs, four USB 3.0 ports, 802.11AC wireless, Gigabit LAN, and Bluetooth.

The laptop sports a brand new “silver / copper / black” chassis design with aluminum elements, red keyboard backlight, orange gloving accents on the lid, and a new dust-resistant cooling system with huge vents on the rear side of the machine.

can you expand the ram and if so whats compatible. What would be the best ssd as well. Is there a link that shows you how to do the upgrades? Sorry Im a newbie

This laptop uses DDR4 2133MHz SODIMM RAM. It has two user accessible RAM slots under an easily removable panel on the bottom (held by a single screw), while another two slots are hidden and you’ll need to disassemble the laptop to reach them. I assume 12GB of pre-installed RAM is located in the hidden slots. As for SSDs, the laptop has dual M.2 SSD slots besides the standard 2.5″ hard drive / SSD bay, so you can easily remove the cover and put them in. So, you’ll need M.2 type SSDs. There are many SSDs on the market , so it’s best to check out some storage review site for the best info. An example of a popular high performance M.2 SSD is the Samsung EVO series, preferably with NVMe technology for ultimately best performance.
