I have an ASUS Model #Q551LN-BSI708 that I bought a couple years back when I started College. I need to take an on-line test, and need a Stylus. Will this touchscreen laptop enable the use of a Stylus? I am running Windows 10 on it. If so, what Stylus would you recommend?

On this model, you can use a capacitive stylus pen. Another kind of pens for notebooks are active digitizers, with advanced features like pressure sensitivity (such as on the Microsoft Surface devices). But, they require active digitizer support built into the screen, which is missing on this notebook. There are various capacitive stylus pens. They’re usually cheap. I would recommend you to go to some web-store like Amazon and type “capacitive pen” in the search box.

Hi, do you recommend the Q551LN for Adobe Lightroom? I know about gaming laptops with the quad core version of Intel i7, but really don’t want to spend $2K. It has to fit into my 15.6 inch backpack so larger laptops are no option.

Have you considered the Asus GL551 with i7 quad-core (much faster than the i7 dual-core)? Especially, the GL551JW-DS74 since it has IPS which is a kind of important feature if you’re into photo editing and also has an additional 128GB solid state drive for only $250 more than the Q551LN. Plus, the GPU is faster in the GL-series. I hope its lack of touchscreen isn’t a deal-breaker.
