Asus Transformer Book Flip TP200SA Cheap 11.6″ 2-in-1 PC
The Asus Transformer Book Flip TP200SA is a cheap 2-in-1 convertible laptop with a small 11.6-inch display. The TP200SA, regularly priced at around $350, stands out from the crowd with its very slim and classy-looking design. The 2.6-pound machine with a 0.7″ thin profile and a footprint “smaller than A4 paper” has brushed-aluminum on the display lid, while the base is made of plastics.
The 11.6″ touch-enabled display with mediocre 1366-by-768 resolution and IPS wide viewing angles is mounted on a fully rotating hinge. It allows multiple usage modes, besides the standard laptop mode, like tablet or multimedia stand. The Asus Transformer Book Flip TP200SA won’t win any computing speed awards. Its hardware is designed only for light day-to-day tasks. The 2-in-1 comes with either the very basic Intel Celeron N3050 dual-core CPU or somewhat faster Intel Pentium N3700. System memory size is either 2GB or 4GB, while for storing data there’s 32GB or 64GB of eMMC storage or a faster and larger 128GB solid state drive. In the US, currently available are only configurations with the Intel Celeron N3050, 2GB RAM, and 32GB eMMC.
The TP200SA uses stereo speakers for sound reproduction, while video chats are enabled via a low-resolution VGA webcam. To get you online, Asus has provided 802.11AC Wi-Fi wireless interface and the laptop also has Bluetooth 4.0. Selection of ports and slots include one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, and the brand new USB-C type port, as well as a micro HDMI video connector, microSD media card reader, and a combo mic / headphones audio jack.
The battery has a capacity of 38 WHr, which is quite large considering dimensions and weight of the notebook. Asus estimates it can provide a battery life of up to 8 hours.
Another good selling point is inclusion of Microsoft Office 365 Personal 1-year subscription for free.
