Dell Inspiron I3567-5664BLK-PUS 15.6″ Touch-Screen Laptop (Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 2TB HDD, Black)
The Dell Inspiron I3567-5664BLK-PUS is traditional mid-range 15.6-inch laptop with touch-screen support and a huge 2TB hard drive as extra features. The touch-screen, however, doesn’t stand out in other aspects. It features the mediocre 1366-by-768 resolution and lacks IPS for wide viewing angles. The included Intel Core i5-7200U (review) dual-core processor paired with 8GB of system memory is a no-brainer solution when it comes to the daily computing tasks. The Core i5 can effortlessly handle the usual home and office duties like web browsing, media playback, or work in MS Office applications. 8GB RAM ensures you won’t be having problems with multi-tasking, while the 2TB hard drive has double capacity of the ordinary 1TB HDDs. A great feature if you regularly download and store large files like high-def movies. Furthermore, the notebook supports some basic gaming, thanks to its Intel HD 620 (review) graphics. The black plastic-clad 5.2-pound Dell Inspiron I3567-5664BLK-PUS has a built-in DVD drive, as well as stereo speakers and an HD web cameara.
The networking and connectivity feature set is quite ordinary. There are Wi-Fi wireless interface, an Ethernet LAN network port, Bluetooth, HDMI video jack, two USB 3.0 ports and one older USB 2.0 connector, an SD media card reader, and a combo audio in / out jack. Our only complaint here is absence of support for the modern 802.11AC Wi-Fi networking. The notebook supports up to previous-gen 802.11N standard, which is slower than 802.11AC.
Note: The I3567-5664BLK-PUS was a part of Best Buy’s Black Friday 2017 lineup, but it was sold out.

Nice work Danijel. Sorry I am late to the party. Please I got some questions I want to ask concerning this laptop. Please how long does the battery last? Hours I mean. Is it good for someone who’s into web and mobile applications development? Thirdly, do you know its strengths when it comes to video game emulation? Would love to know if it’s capable of running old games at at least 30 frames per seconds

Iโm wishing to buy a 16GB RAM Laptop and I have interest in the Laptop.
So I want to ask that since the RAM of the Laptop has two slots (2 x 8GB), and its only 8GB RAM (in one slot) that comes with it. Assuming I want to increase it to 16GB, will I have to buy a new 8GB of RAM to the 2nd slot or I have to replace it by 16GB?

If yo want a total of 16GB, you can just insert an 8GB RAM stick besides 8GB that’s already inside. There’s no need to throw away your existing 8GB RAM stick and get a 16GB stick instead.
ELDER BABATUNDE –
Can the RAM of the Laptop be Upgraded from 8GB to 16GB?
If yes, how can I upgrade it?

According to the Dell Inspirion 3567 service manual, RAM is upgradeable. There are 2 RAM slots, so you can use 2 x 8GB sticks (dual-channel, better than single channel 1 x 16GB). Instructions are on pages 41, 42 of the service manual:

The laptop can be used for design work, but it’s not a good solution for that. I would suggest a laptop with newer and noticeably faster i5-8250U quad-core instead of the dual-core i5-7200U and a solid state drive instead of the slow (but large) 2TB HDD. Also, a dedicated video card can speed up Illustrator and other programs supporting graphics acceleration, but that also increases the price. On the end, let’s mention that the display on this notebook is a budget HD non-IPS panel, so if resolution, color gamut / accuracy and other screen specs are important for your work, then the I3567-5664BLK-PUS isn’t a good solution.

It’s Intel HD 620, a basic integrated graphics processor. You can read more about it here: https://laptoping.com/gpus/product/intel-hd-620-review-graphics-of-7th-gen-core-u-series-kaby-lake-cpus/

Hi Danijel,
Its mentioned that this model does not support 802.11AC Wi-Fi networking.
Can you help me understand that what difference does this actually makes?
And one more thing can this touch laptop be used with keypad, I mean disabling touch feature? Also I have a choice for a non touch laptop with same specs but with 1TB HD.
Can you please help me understand if I should go with touch model, will I be able to use this is normal non-touch as well? Thanks in advance:)

Danijel Z –
Hi, I’ll try to explain this simply.
802.11AC Wi-Fi is a newer wireless networking standard, successor of previous 802.11N which is supported by this laptop. 802.11AC enables higher data transfer speeds and greater wireless range.
802.11AC is backward-compatible with 802.11N. This means that if you for instance have an 802.11AC Wi-Fi router in your home you will be able to connect this 802.11N-equipped laptop to it. However, it won’t utilize 802.11AC network speed and range. It will use slower 802.11N speeds and have shorter range. This is all a theory in a way, since Wi-Fi speeds and range depend on many other factors. For normal web surfing via a decent Wi-Fi (AC or N) router in your room or on your floor, the laptop’s built-in 802.11N Wi-Fi module should work fine.
Plus, if you connect to Internet via an 802.11N router, there’s no benefit of having 802.11AC in your laptop. They’ll both work on 802.11N level in that case.
As for the touchscreen, you can disable it, but there’s no need for that. You’ll be able to use the touchpad on keyboard deck and keyboard regardless of whether touch-screen is enabled or not. Touch-screen and touchpad & keyboard can work simultaneously.
Anyway, you can disable touchscreen in settings under Windows / Control Panel / Device Manager / Human Interface Devices.
I hope this helps. ๐
