Lenovo Edge 2 80QF0005US / 80QF0004US 15.6″ 2-in-1 Touch Laptop (Intel Core i5 / i7, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, Gunmetal)
The Lenovo Edge 2 80QF0005US / 80QF0004US is a 2-in-1 band-back-style laptop with a 15.6″ Full HD touchscreen display, 6th Generation “Skylake” Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB of system memory, and a 1TB hard drive.
The Edge 2 80QF0005US is the Intel Core i5-6200U-powered model and is priced at around $630, whereas the 80QF0004US with the i7-6500U is around $820. These chips are good not only for the daily computing chores under pre-loaded Windows 10, but also enable relatively smooth work in more demanding software like video and photo editors. Getting the i7 version of the laptop doesn’t make sense for the majority of users, since for almost $200 extra you only get a minor speed bump. Both models support light gaming provided by the Intel HD 520 integrated graphics and moderately heavy multitasking, thanks to included 8GB of RAM. The 1-Terabyte hard drive offers a plenty of space for users’ files and program installations, but lacks snappiness of solid state drives.
The Lenovo Edge 2 doesn’t include a DVD optical drive, but the rest of the specs sheet is admirable. The sharp FHD 1920×1080-pixel multi-touch display also features IPS technology for wide viewing angle. Coating covering the screen is glossy. Keyboard backlight is included, too. As same as the most mainstream laptops, this one comes with built-in stereo speakers and a HD 720p web camera. There are two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, HDMI video output, Wi-Fi 802.11AC wireless and Ethernet LAN network connections, Bluetooth, an multiformat media card reader, and a combo headphones / microphone jack.
The parts are encased in a 0.7″ thin chassis with “Gunmetal” finish.
Lenovo hasn’t provided info on battery life for this notebook.
