Lenovo Flex 3 14-Inch Convertible Laptop PC
The Lenovo Flex 3 14 is a convertible 2-in-1 laptop with a 14-inch display, support for multi-mode laptop, tablet, or multimedia stand use, and the latest Intel Core processors.
With a weight of 4.3 pounds and smaller casing dimensions, the Lenovo Flex 3 14″ offers greater portability than its 15.6-inch sibling, while having identical internal component specifications and features. Because of the smaller screen size, the battery life is somewhat longer on the 14-incher. On the other hand, the larger model has enough room to accommodate a dedicated numeric pad on the keyboard.
The Flex 14 and 15 are based on the 5th Generation Intel Core “Broadwell” processors, namely the Core i3-5005U which is an excellent solution for the usual day-to-day tasks, and faster i5-5200U and i7-5500U which are better suited for more demanding operations such as video and photo editing. These chips come with the entry-level Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics, which is good for casual games, but can’t handle the latest blockbuster 3D titles. The optional Nvidia GeForce 920M 2GB and GT 940M 2GB dedicated video cards are more powerful, but still belong to the lower-and laptop GPU segment. RAM memory choices are 4GB and 8GB, while for storing files you can have either a 500GB or 1-Terabyte hard drive or a 1TB hybrid HDD with 8GB of solid state-based storage for a better system responsiveness.
As for the screen, the multi-touch-enabled panel mounted on a fully rotating hinge provides 1366-by-768-pixel or crispier 1920-by-1080 display resolution. Touchscreens with anti-glare coating are a rarity on the market, but luckily the Flex series does have it. Omitted important features are IPS wide viewing angle technology and keyboard backlight.
The notebook has a well-rounded feature set, including stereo speakers, a 1MP webcam, 802.11AC wireless and wired LAN network interfaces, Bluetooth, a total of four USB ports (2 x USB 2.0 + 2 x USB 3.0), HDMI video output port, and a multi-in-one media card reader
The battery life is up to 6 hours with a bigger 45WHr battery or up to 4 hours if a configuration has a 30 Whr unit.
The laptop is entirely made of plastics, with brushed-metal-like finish on the keyboard deck and plain display backpanel.
