Lenovo ThinkPad X250 Business Ultraportable

Lenovo ThinkPad X250

The Lenovo ThinkPad X250, advertised as “ultimate ultraportable”, offers powerful components and lots of features in a 12.5-inch clamshell form factor. The 2.9-pound business-class notebook with a 0.8″ thin profile is based on the 5th Gen Intel Core “Broadwell” i3, i5, and i7 processors, up to 8GB of RAM memory, and solid state or hard drive storage – up to 512GB and 500GB 7,200rpm, respectively. The display sports 720p or optionally Full HD resolution, optional IPS wide viewing angle technology, and support for touch input on select models. For data input, there’s also the ergonomic Lenovo Precision keyboard, a standard trackpad, plus a TrackPoint pointing stick.

One of the greatest innovative features in the ThinkPad family and the X250 itself is PowerBridge battery technology. It constists of one built-in battery plus a user-removable and hot-swappable unit, so you can replace it with another battery on the go without rebooting the operating system. With dual batteries, Lenovo’s X250 can provide up to 20 hours of battery life, according to the PC maker.

Other stand-out perks on the ultraportable are keyboard backlight and mobile broadband connectivity option. The laptop has stereo speakers, a 720p web camera, 802.11AC wireless, Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, two USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort and VGA video outputs, a memory card reader, and optional fingerprint and SmartCard readers.
