The Toshiba Encore 2 WT8-B32CN is a low-end 8-inch Windows tablet with the Intel Atom processor. This model has 32GB of internal storage as opposed to the 64GB variant which is otherwise identical. The WT8-B32CN has lower specifications than the vast majority of similar Atom-based tablets on the market. Although the included Atom Z3735F chips offers similar CPU speed to the Atoms used in other tablets, inclusion of only 1GB of RAM instead of usual 2, greatly reduces multitasking potential. Another downside is absence of a free copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student software suite, which is available for free on the majority of other models. However, you’ll get a 1-year Office 365 Personal subscription at no cost.

On the positive side, the 1280×800-pixel 8-incher has IPS wide viewing angle screen technology, which is missing on the original Encore. But, the Encore 2 lacks built-in GPS and HDMI video output.
