The Toshiba Satellite C75D-B7304 is a 17.3″ budget-friendly laptop, offering decent performance along a bigger than average display for less than $400. The machine is built upon AMD’s computing technology, namely the AMD A6-6310 processor, featuring four cores and the Radeon R4 series integrated graphics. Despite being a quad CPU, it’s still only a mid-range part. In daily operations, that means enough power for web, social networking, office productivity, and high-definition video playback. Occasionally, you can also use it for video creation and photography editing, while gaming is supported only up to minimal resolutions and low detail settings. As usual, 4 Gigabytes of system memory is included to ensure flawless multitasking, even with lots of tasks running at the same time. The provided 1-Terabyte (~1,000GB) hard drive is larger than HDDs commonly found in modern notebooks, usually sporting 500GB units.

The screen resolution is 1,600×900 pixels, which is a standard one for the 17.3″ notebook screen size and a noticeable improvement over the 1,366×768 on the common 15.6-inchers.

The main concession that had to be made to hit the low price point is the chassis. The C75D-B7304 doesn’t sport fancy materials like aluminum. It’s rather made of plastics in black color and isn’t a sleek machine with its 1.3″ thick profile. That’s however in line with other budget 17.3-inchers and also the weight of 5.9 pounds is an average one. Of course, a laptop with a screen that big is rather designed to sit on the desk most of the time that to be carried around much and taken on trips.

For interaction with Windows OS and programs, the laptop provides a spacious keyboard with numeric pad and a touchpad with mechanical click buttons. There’s no keyboard backlight on this model and the C75 Satellite series in general.

This desktop PC replacement offers all ports, slots, and connectivity features an average user might need: three USBs, HDMI and VGA for connection to TVs and monitors, a media card reader, Wi-Fi wireless, and wired Ethernet LAN network jack. For sound, Toshiba has provided a pair of built-in speakers, while video chats are supported via a 720p web camera.

According to the laptop maker, the battery life last slightly longer than four and a half hours.

Long story short, the Toshiba Satellite C75D-B7304 will satisfy the majority of average users without breaking the bank and provide a plenty of display real estate and data storage space.
