Toshiba Satellite Radius L15W-B1208X Inexpensive 11.6″ 2-in-1 Laptop
The Toshiba Satellite Radius L15W-B1208X is yet another affordable 11.6-inch 2-in-1 notebook PC, with a 360-degree rotating hinge. It enables the laptop to be converted a tablet, multimedia stand or tent, or flat table-top.
The L15W-B1208X aims to satisfy price-conscious shoppers who want to experience Windows 10 on a flexible touch-enabled and portable device. The 2.9-pound computer with 0.8″ thin profile doesn’t make too many compromises to achieve the 400-dollar price point, but there are some weak points. The main is absence of IPS wide-viewing angle technology, besides mediocre screen resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels. Performance isn’t stunning either, but still good enough for smooth operation during the usual daily tasks, like web surfing, work in Microsoft Office, or movie and music playback. The laptop is based on the Intel Pentium “Bay Trail” N3540 entry-level quad-core processor with Intel HD series integrated graphics. The CPU is paired with averagely-sized 4GB of system memory, which is responsible for multitasking. Storage space is standard too. The device has a 500GB hard drive at 5,400rpm. It’s a slow kind of storage by today’s PC standards.
Exterior of the notebook is in alignment with its budget nature, but still elegant. The chassis is made of plastics in “Satin Gold” color. The base holds a decently sized keyboard without backlight, combined with a spacious trackpad with physical click buttons.
Other notable features are stereo speakers, a frontal 720p web camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connections, a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, Intel’s Wi-Di technology for hooking up to TVs and monitors wirelessly, a standard HDMI video connector, mic/headphones combo jack, and a multi-format media card reader.
As an extra feature, the Toshiba Satellite Radius L15W-B1208X comes bundled with 1-year subscription for Microsoft Office 365 Personal suite.
There’s no info on battery life for this particular model, but other similar L15W configurations are claimed to provide up to 5 hours on a charge.

It has a decent performance. It can be improved by replacing the standard HDD for a SSD, the difference is noticeable

Good performance in its class. The battery only have 4 hours or so while working with documents with battery saver turn on. Rather disappointing.
