Thermaltake, the computer chassis, power supply and thermal solution brand, launched the iXoft passive laptop computer cooling pad.
Thermaltake’s completely fanless, ultra-portable notebook cooling device is based on patented Heat Shift Technology which consists of phase change material that exhibits cold and solid property when not in use then transforms into liquid form when dissipating heat away from the heat source.
“Upon contact with heat source such as a computer notebook, iXoft quickly absorbs heat away from the source and accelerates thermal dissipation by distributing heat across all available surfaces on iXoft and into surrounding through natural convection. All this is done without any moving part which guarantees iXoft to operate continuously without consuming any precious battery from the notebook and without producing any noise,” the Thermaltake’s press release says.
The iXoft Fanless Notebook Cooling pad weighs in 22 ounces, which makes it the world’s lightest laptop cooler available today, according to Termaltake.
The iXoft can also be folded and is available in mysterious black or snow white colors.
This pad needs to be replaced once a month. it begins to flatten out and CHOKE your laptop. Do not bother with this pad, get an xpad.. They’re solid and won’t collapse.
