Toshiba Reveals Atom-Based UMPC Prototype

ToshibaToshiba has revealed a prototype of an ultra-mobile PC with a 5.6-inch touchscreen display, Intel’s Atom processor, a 64GB solid state drive, and GPS receiver.

PC Authority reports the keyboard in the device is ditched in favour of a touchscreen keyboard.

Toshiba’s UMPC prototype runs Windows Vista OS.

    Sounds promising…. except for the Vista OS part.

    Hope they load the new Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

    It looks too shiny. Also, Vista is crappy garbage, and a miserable failure.
