Toshiba’s new Tablet PC – the 12.1-inch Portege M780 – is now available for purchase.
Customers can order pre-configured Portege M780 models or the configurable M780-ST7200, which includes the Intel Core i5-520M or i7-620M processor, Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space or a 128GB solid state drive, and an optional built-in optical drive.
The LED-backlight display supports digital pen and optionally touch input and has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
Other options in the M780 are a web camera, Bluetooth and a modem. The convertible laptop also features 802.11n WiFi, Gigabit LAN, two USB ports and an eSATA/USB combo port, an ExpressCard slot, a multi-in-one media card reader, VGA output, a Firewire port, a fingerprint reader, and the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.
The Portege M780 weighs 4.63 lbs with its standard 6-cell battery and has a Titanium Silver chassis.
It runs Windows 7 or Windows XP Tablet PC operating system.
