Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV412Toshiba today announced the Qosmio F45-AV412 15.4-inch multimedia notebook computer featuring Intel “Santa Rosa” platform, HD DVD-ROM drive, HDMI output, and Dolby surround sound technology.

Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV412, the first model in the new F45 series, is based on Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor and the GM965 chipset with the integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, empowering a 15.4″ 1280×800-pixel widescreen display.

For connecting to a HDTVs, this laptop has a HDMI port delivering a 1080i resolution. The audio experience is provided by Dolby Home Theater technology and a suite of technologies, such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Live, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Headphone and Dolby Virtual Speaker. Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV412 has two Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers, and a built-in subwoofer.

The F45-AV412 system supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and comes with 250GB Serial-ATA hard disk drive at 4200rpm. Along with high definition multimedia playback capability, HD DVD drive in the new Qosmio also offers a standard CD and DVD writing.

Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV412’s networking feature include, Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965 AGN (802.11a/g/n), Ethernet LAN, and a 56k modem, while for a video conferencing there are web camera and microphone built into LCD bezel.

This newly designed multimedia notebook starting at 6.6 lbs also has a fingerprint reader, an ExpressCard slot, a 5-in-1 media card reader, four USB ports, and a Firewire port. Besides HDMI, the Qosmio F45-AV412 has VGA and S-Video outputs.

The F45-AV412 system is priced at $1,599 and comes with 32-bit Windows Vista Ultimate.
