Toshiba Qosmio G45, the company’s new entertainment notebook, will be announced during the third quarter of 2007. It will feature Intel Centrino Duo technology, a part of new “Santa Rosa” notebook platform, according to the Company’s press release.
Intel Centrino Duo consists of four primary components including the new Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, the Mobile Intel 965 chipset, new Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 4965AGN supporting draft 802.11n wireless connectivity and Intel Turbo Memory technology, which provides a speed boost to Windows Vista, Toshiba explains.
Although there are no published detailed specifications of Toshiba Qosmio G45, the previous reports about its G40 sibling indicate the G45 will feature 17-inch (1920 x 1200) widescreen display and will be built upon Intel 965PM chipset paired with Core 2 Duo T7300P processor. It will have NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics card with 512 MB of dedicated memory and with HDMI 1.3 output. Along with a HD DVD reader, it will have 2GB of RAM and up to two 2.5-inch 200GB hard drives for a total of 400GB storage.
Toshiba Qosmio G45 should weigh eleven pounds and ship with Windows Vista operating system pre-installed, according to the G40’s leaked specifications.
The Company also announced its Toshiba Satellite P205 and Satellite A205, refreshed with the new Centrino Duo technology, will be available in Q3 2007.
