Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q830, X505-Q850The Intel Core i7-powered Toshiba Qosmio X505 is the company’s latest 18.4-inch gaming laptop.

Toshiba currently offers two Qosmio X505 models: the X505-Q830 and X505-Q850. Besides the Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz quad-core mobile processor, the X505 features the NVIDIA GeForce GTS250M 1GB GDDR5 dedicated video card. The X505-Q830 comes with 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and a display resolution of 1680×945 pixels, whereas the X505-Q850 ships with 6GB or RAM, a 64GB solid state drive plus a 320GB HDD, and a full HD 1920×1080 display.

Both notebooks include a Blu-ray Combo drive, a keyboard with numeric pad and backlight, a web camera with microphone, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a Gigabit LAN port, HDMI and VGA outputs, three standard USB connectors and an eSATA/USB combo port, an ExpressCard slot, Firewire, and a media card reader.

The Qosmio X505 series weighs around 10 pounds with the 12-cell battery and sports a black Fusion Finish. The battery lasts 3 hours and 18 minutes, according to Toshiba.

The X505-Q830 and X505-Q850 run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS and cost $1,450 and $1,900 respectively at the Toshiba online store.
