Toshiba Satellite A500-ST6644 Overview

The 16-inch Toshiba A500-ST6644 is the first configurable Satellite A500/A505 series laptop to feature the Intel Core i3/i5 dual core processors.

Besides the Core i3-330M, there are also the Core i5-430M and Core i5-520M CPU choices. Graphics options include the GMA HD integrated GPU, or the NVIDIA GeForce 310M 512MB and GT 330M 1GB dedicated video cards. The laptop comes with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB of hard drive space, a DVD burner, and a 1366 x 768 LED backlight display.

Toshiba’s Satellite A500-ST6644 sports a webcam and microphone, stereo speakers, a multi-touch trackpad, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, an Ethernet LAN port, optional Bluetooth, three USB ports plus an eSATA/USB combo port, a 5-in-1 media card reader, an HDMI port, and a VGA output.

The Windows 7-powered notebook is available with the Fusion Finish in Quantum Black.

The Satellite A500-ST6644 starts at $939 and can be purchased direct from Toshiba through ToshibaDirect.com.

Toshiba also offers the pre-configured Satellite A500-ST5607 with the Core i5-430M processor and the Satellite A500-ST5608 with the Core i7-720QM quad core CPU.
