Four New Toshiba Satellite P105 Laptops Powered by Core 2 Duo

Toshiba Digital Products Division today announced its latest Satellite P105 desktop replacement laptops featuring the latest Intel Core 2 Duo, codenamed Merom, T5200 processor (1.60GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz FSB). The introduced 17-inch widescreen P105 notebooks are based on Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset featuring Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with up to 128MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory and Intel PRO/Wireless Network Connection 3945ABG.

The latest four Toshiba Satellite P105 laptops have an Ethernet LAN, a 56K modem and a DVD double layer burner, as same as 4 USB ports, VGA out and TV out (S-Video) and i-LINK port.

Regarding slots, the new P105 series mobile computers have ExpressCard slot, PCMCIA PC Card slot and a 5-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter.

The new Toshiba Satellite P105 models feature an Onyx Blue Metallic high-gloss lid and a high-gloss palm rest inside, as same as full-size keyboard with 10-key pad for numerical entry.

Their weight starts at 7.1 lbs, while battery life lasts for up to 3.12 hours.

Toshiba Satellite P105-S6134 model, which has an estimated price of $1550, comes with 2048MB DDR2 SDRAM, 200GB (4200 RPM) SATA hard disk and an external Toshiba USB TV tuner.

Priced at $1500, Toshiba Satellite P105-S6124 also has 2048MB of DDR2 SDRAM and USB TV tuner, but it comes with 160GB (4200 RPM) SATA HDD.

Toshiba Satellite P105-S6114 has the same specifications as previous P105-S6124, but it ships without USB TV tuner. Its price is $1400.

The cheapest Core 2 Duo powered P105 laptop is Toshiba Satellite P105-S6104, which has 1024MB DDR2 SDRAM and a smaller, but faster 120GB SATA hard disk spinning at 5400rpm. The P105-S6104 is priced at $1250.

All four laptops are Windows Vista Premium Ready and come with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
