Toshiba announced today the 13.3-inch Satellite U505 Touch and 14-inch Satellite M505 Touch laptops, both with touch-screen displays and Windows 7 operating system.
“Users now will have a new choice in ways to interact with their laptop, whether flicking through photos, shuffling files, browsing online or playing games, utilizing Windows Touch-enabled functionality. The new Satellite M505 Touch and Satellite U505 Touch laptops let users tap, drag-and-drop and scroll through files, Web pages and images,” the press release says.
The new Satellite notebooks include Toshiba LifeSpace touch-enabled software, which includes Bulletin Board for managing tasks, activities and projects and ReelTime file browser.
Regarding hardware, the U505 and M505 have Intel Core 2 Duo processors, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drives, and DVD burners.
The Satellite M505 Touch will be available on October 22 with a MSRP of $950, while the U505 Touch will hit the market on November 1 for around $1,050.
