Toshiba US announced the Toshiba Tecra M6 laptop computer.
Toshiba’s newest business-class notebook delivers the power and performance of a desktop replacement in a compact 4.1-pound notebook computer. Integrating the latest Intel® Centrino® Mobile Technology —including select models featuring dual core processors— Toshiba’s Tecra M6 is equipped to handle today’s intensive business and multimedia applications. Measuring 11.8-inches wide by 8.9-inches deep, the Tecra M6 is approximately the same size as popular magazines, making this highly mobile solution the ideal companion notebook computer. With up to five hours of battery life and a full suite of connectivity options, mobile professionals and students can take the Tecra M6 with them to use anywhere they go.
The Toshiba Tecra M6 features a 12.1-inch diagonal wide aspect TruBrite® display for the cinematic picture quality of a standard, high-definition monitor. In addition, the notebook features an integrated DVD SuperMulti drive as part of the standard configuration. The coupling of these technologies allows the Tecra M6 to seamlessly transform into a mobile entertainment center.
“We are confident the Toshiba Tecra M6 will meet the needs of highly mobile professionals and students alike because of its unique blend of leading-edge technologies in a lightweight notebook with exceptionally long battery life,†said Jeff Barney, vice president of marketing, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems.
The Toshiba Tecra M6 incorporates the exclusive EasyGuardâ„¢ technology, a series of hardware and software enhancements designed to boost mobile security, system and data integrity, network connectivity and overall ease-of-use.
