WinBook T230 Dual-Core Laptop Announced

WinBook announced the first model in its widescreen WinBook T200 laptop series – the WinBook T230. The $1,299.99 WinBook T230 features 14-inch screen, Intel Core Duo T2300 processor, integrated WiFi (802.11 a/b/g wireless), Intel 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet and a 56K modem. WinBook T230 has a large 120GB hard drive and dual-layer DVD recordable drive.

“WinBooks have always offered good value and highly competitive pricing. The WinBook T230 is no exception,” said Bob Ziegler, WinBook director. In fact, the WinBook T230 is priced less than comparably-equipped notebooks from Dell, Gateway, HP, Lenovo, Sony and Toshiba.

The new WinBook T230 comes standard with Microsoft Windows XP Professional and meets or exceeds Microsoft’s Windows Vista Current Planning Guidelines, says Winbook in press release.
