Intel Core i7-1355U (13th Gen) Laptop Processor

The 13th Generation Intel Core i7-1355U is a mid-tier laptop processor released in 2023. It’s commonly used in the mainstream home and office laptops, including thin-and-light models and 2-in-1 convertibles. The Core i7-1355U, just like the similarly popular Core i5-1335U from the same 13th Gen family, delivers a balanced performance, power consumption and price ratio.

Both processors can easily handle the daily home and office duties. Furthermore, they offer decent performance for more demanding stuff like video editing. For the heavier tasks, recommended are the high-performance H series processors like the i7-13700H. But, the i7-1355U and other U series chips are much more power efficient and run cooler. They consume 15 Watts of power, while the H series CPUs consume 45 Watts. The Core P series processors like the 28-Watt i7-1360P are in the middle between the U and H series in terms of speed and power consumption.

The i7-1355U features the Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, good only for light gaming. It has a slightly more powerful Iris Xe version than the i5-1335U, which enables somewhat smoother gaming. On the negative side, the i7’s Xe requires slightly more power and cooling, which may trigger processor throttling. That’s the probable reason why the i7-1355U performs slightly weaker than the i5-1335U in many of the raw CPU speed benchmarks.

The main AMD’s counterpart against the i7-1355U is the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U.

Intel Core i7-1355U CPU Benchmark

Here’s a benchmark comparison of the Intel Core i7-1355U against other popular laptop processors:

Intel Core i7-1355U Benchmark

Note: The benchmark scores of the listed processors are averages measured across various devices with these processors. The scores and real-world performance of the Intel Core i7-1355U and compared CPUs may vary depending on the notebooks' other components, settings, cooling, and other factors. However, the benchmark results are good indicators of the processors' performance.
