HP Pavilion dm4t Laptop Refreshed

Hewlett-Packard today announced refreshed 14-inch thin-and-light HP Pavilion dm4t entertainment laptop series.

Less than 1 inch thin and weighing less than 4.5 pounds, the new Pavilion dm4t features an improved sound system. The previous Altec-Lancing stereo speakers are replaced by Beats Audio-branded sound system which includes a subwoofer. In addition, the laptop has received keyboard backlight option and optional Intel Smart Response Technology for faster boot times and software loading.

There is no info on changes when it comes to main computing components. If other specifications remained the same, the HP Pavilion dm4t has the Second Generation Intel Core i3-2330M processor at 2.2GHz with Intel HD Graphics 3000, as well as up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB hard disk drive, and a DVD writer.

Its 14″ BrightView LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.

The old HP Pavilion dm4t also includes a web camera, microphone, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetoooth, Gigabit Ethernet, three USB ports (third shared with eSATA), a 5-in-1 media card reader, VGA and HDMI outputs, and a fingerprint reader.

It has dark umber or steel gray metal finish and runs Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional OS.

The updated HP Pavilion dm4t will start at $630. The current version has a base price of $580 at the HP online store.

Hewlett-Packard has also released the dm4t Beats Edition, with a black-and-red design, as well as red keyboard backlight. The dm4t Beats will start at $900.
