Lenovo put on sale today the ThinkPad Edge E420s 14″ thin-and-light laptop for small business users.
The 4.14-pound Lenovo ThinkPad E420s is 1.2 inch thin and includes the 2nd Gen Intel Core processors with dual CPU cores – the Core i7 2620M, i5 2410M, or i3 2310M – and Intel HD integrated graphics or optional switchable solution that combines the Intel HD GPU with the 2GB AMD Radeon HD 6630M dedicated video card. The laptop comes with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, while storage choices include a traditional hard drive, up to 320GB, a 128GB solid state drive, or hybrid storage which comprises of an 80GB SSD and 320GB HDD. The optical drive is a slot-load DVD burner, while the standard battery is a 48.8Whr unit that enables power autonomy of up to 7 hours.
The display is covered with Infinity edge-to-edge glass and has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
Lenovo’s small business notebook features a low-light sensitive HD web camera, mic, stereo speakers, Dolby Home Theater surround sound technology, wireless N, optional Bluetooth, optional WiMAX, optional 3G mobile broadband, Ethernet LAN, HDMI 1.4 and VGA video outputs, two USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port, 4-in-1 media card reader, and fingerprint sensor.
The ThinkPad E420s has an island-style spill resistant keyboard, trackpad and TrackPoint, magnesium-aluminum construction with reinforced metal hinges, and soft-touch matte finish with metal accents.
It runs Windows 7 OS and starts at $699 at the Lenovo official online store.
