HP Envy x2 15t 2-in-1 PC with 15.6″ Screen
The HP Envy x2 15t is among the largest notebook / tablet 2-in-1 PCs with a detachable keyboard. With a 15.6-inch display diagonal, the Envy x2 15t is a huge tablet. But, the trade-off for a plenty of screen real estate are large size and weight of the device in comparison to other 2-in-1s.
The 5.4-pound computer has a chassis made of aluminum. The touch display has 1080p resolution, IPS technology for wider viewing angles, and active digitizer technology for pen input support. The pen is sold separately. On the back, the tablet portion features a kickstand with adjustable angles. The detachable keyboard cover has Chiclet style keys with backlight and a touchpad placed on the right side of the keyboard.
Under the hood, the Envy x2 15 packs the Intel Core M-series Broadwell processors, with mid-range performance, a great power efficiency, low heat dissipation, and Intel HD 5300 integrated graphics with basic gaming potential. The CPU is accompanied by either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on customers choice. For data storage, the PC provides a 500GB hard drive with solid state drive-based cache for better responsiveness.
Sound is backed by Beats Audio technology and stereo speakers. For video chats, there’s a 720p web camera, while networking and connectivity feature set includes two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI video output, combo audio jack, multiformat media card reader, and Wi-Fi wireless and Bluetooth connections.
Overall, the HP Envy x2 15t offers good everyday performance, big display, and premium design in an innovative form factor. However, its large size can be troublesome for everyday use as a tablet, so its smaller Envy x2 13t sibling might be a better choice for the prospective buyers.
