The HP ProBook 450 G3 is a business-centric 15.6-inch laptop PC with mid-range components. The ProBook 450 G3 lacks some advanced corporate-class features like Intel vPro system management and security technology, so it is more suitable for small businesses.
The laptop delivers the latest 6th Generation Intel Core processing technology. You can choose the very basic Intel Celeron 3855U, somewhat faster Pentium 4405U, lower-mid-tier Intel Core i3-6100U, mid-range i5-6200U, and higher-mid-range i7-6500U. The HP ProBook 450 G3 has two system memory slots. HP offers 4GB and 8GB RAM modules, so you can have up to 16GB in total. Data storage system consists of a 2.5-inch bay for hard drives and an M.2 slot for solid state drives. You can select a 500GB, 1-Terabyte, or 2TB HDD and a 128GB or 256GB M.2 SSD.
As for the display, it doesn’t deliver top picture quality because of lack of IPS wide viewing angle technology. On the other hand, it’s offered with optional touchscreen support on the default 1366×768-pixel panel and with sharper 1920×1080 Full HD non-touch display. The screen is anti-glare type.
Other notable features are a built-in DVD burner drive, optional backlight on the keyboard which features numeric pad, multi-touch trackpad, stereo speakers, a 720p web camera, 802.11n or newer and faster 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless, Gigabit LAN, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and VGA video connectors, Bluetooth, a media card reader, a combo mic / headphones audio port, and optional fingerprint reader.
The HP ProBook 450 G3 comes with either 44 or 55 Whr battery capacity. Both are mid-range capacities, meaning one can expect a battery life of around 4-5 hours.
All the features are encased in a durable MIL-STD 810G tested chassis with an aluminum reinforced keyboard deck. The laptop starts at 4.6 pounds and is 1″ thick.
Available operating system choices are Windows 10 Home and Pro and Windows 7 Pro.
