The Asus Transformer Book T100TAF-B1-MS Signature Edition 2 in 1 PC<\/strong> is Microsoft Store’s exclusive, but it’s not much different from other T100-series models. Basically, it is an affordable 2-in-1 laptop\/tablet PC hybrid with a detachable keyboard. The 10.1-inch T100-series and the T100TAF-B1-MS Signature Edition are all based on the Intel Atom “Bay Trail” processor family and come with 2GB of system memory. This setup is satisfactory for the daily chores, multimedia playback, and some gaming on low settings, but not much more than that. A detailed review of the Atom “Bay Trail” you can read here<\/a>. Alongside the Atom Z3735F quad-core running at up to 1.86GHz and 2GB RAM, this model comes with 32GB of internal storage. It’s the smallest capacity in the T100 series and you can run into some storage-related constraints<\/a> because of that. At least, you can expand storage space via a microSD card slot. The 2-in-1 is also available in a 64GB variant and with an additional 500GB hard drive in the keyboard dock on select models.<\/p>\n

The display is a mixed bag in terms of specs. The resolution is mediocre 1366×768 pixels, but IPS wide viewing angle technology is present which is a major plus. <\/p>\n

The keyboard has Chiclet-style keys and no backlight. The dock also includes a trackpad, and a full-size USB 2.0 port. The tablet portion has a micro HDMI video output, a micro USB, and a combo audio jack. There are also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, stereo speakers, and a frontal web camera.<\/p>\n

The device as a whole weighs in at 2.5 pounds, whereas the tablet part weighs 1.3 pounds. The battery life is up to 11 hours, according to Asus.<\/p>\n

Regarding software, the Asus Transformer Book T100TAF-B1-MS Signature Edition 2 in 1 PC runs Windows 8.1 and comes with a 1-year subscription for Microsoft’s Office 365 Personal. “Signature Edition” means the computer is clean of unnecessary bloatware software and has a free anti-virus program pre-installed. The same device is available without Signature Edition mark. It’s the T100TAF-B12-GR with the same hardware specs and Windows 8.1. Another model, the T100TAF-B11-GR, is a bit cheaper than the previous two. However, it should be avoided because it has only 1GB of RAM, making the 2-in-1 barely usable.<\/p>\n
