The 15.6-inch Lenovo Yoga 710 80V50000US<\/strong> isn’t a totally ordinary 2-in-1 laptop convertible. It has a dedicated video card, which is a rarity among 2-in-1 PCs and slim-style laptops. Other internal specs are excellent, too. The laptop has an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of system memory, and 256GB of solid state drive storage. And all that combined with a very light weight of 4.2 pounds (for a 15.6″ notebook) and sleek profile of 0.7″. <\/p>\n

The 15.6-inch touchscreen of the “pearl black” Lenovo Yoga 710 is mounted on a fully rotatable hinge, which allows multiple usage modes, such as standard laptop, tablet, or stand. The display<\/a> features the 1920×1080-pixel resolution and IPS technology for wide viewing angles. Other methods of interaction with pre-loaded Windows 10 Home OS and other software are via the standard-size keyboard with backlight and multi-touch trackpad with integrated “mouse” buttons. A common feature of 15.6-inch notebooks which is missing on the Yoga 710 is a dedicated numeric pad on the keyboard. <\/p>\n

Under the hood, the 80V50000US configuration of the Yoga 710 series packs the 7th Generation Intel Core i5-7200U dual-core processor, the Nvidia GeForce 940MX 2GB DDR3L video card, 8GB of system memory, and a 256GB solid state drive. The i5-7200U we reviewed recently<\/a> is a mid-range processor with sufficient power for all the usual day-to-day computing tasks and even some more serious stuff like high-resolution photo and video editing. It can also be a great support for many of the latest games. However, the greatest factor in gaming is the video card. The included Nvidia GeForce 940MX is a lower-mid-range discrete graphics card, but it has a huge advantage over the usual Intel HD 620. Generally, you can play casual games and older game titles on it, as well as the latest blockbuster AAA titles with lowered graphics detail settings. Performance of the 940MX is very similar to the 940M we described here<\/a>, with the former having negligibly better performance. As for RAM<\/a> size of 8GB, it sufficient for all common office and home usage scenarios. Another strong selling point besides the Nvidia 940MX is solid state drive storage<\/a>. It offers much snappier operation than hard drives. That’s especially noticeable when booting-up the system or loading programs. Also, SSD’s 256GB capacity is admirable. It’s double the size of basic and common 128GB. A built-in DVD optical drive is missing.<\/p>\n

This Lenovo Yoga 710 80V50000US includes, a stereo speaker system, a web camera, Wi-Fi 802.11AC wireless network interface, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 ports, micro HDMI video output, a combo audio microphone \/ headphones jack, and a media card reader. <\/p>\n

Lenovo’s estimation is that battery life on this 2-in-1 PC can last of “up to 8 hours”, which is excellent considering laptop’s full-size display and light weiht.<\/p>\n
