The HP Pavilion 15t (15t-ab100)<\/strong> is among the most popular laptop series by Hewlett-Packard. The 15.6-incher offers a great flexibility in terms of component choices and casing colors.<\/p>\n

Besides with the standard 1366\u00d7768 pixel count, the display<\/a> on the HP Pavilion 15t \/ 15t-ab100 model for 2015 is optionally available with the Full HD 1920\u00d71080 resolution. Touchscreen is optional (available on the \u201c15t Touch\u201d model with otherwise same hardware), while IPS display technology is missing.<\/p>\n

Processor options include the 6th Generation Intel Core U-series i5-6200U and i7-6500U “Skylake<\/a>” with the Intel HD 520 integrated graphics. Optionally, you can get the HP Pavilion 15t with the Nvidia GeForce GT 940M 2GB dedicated video card, which offers smoother gaming experience than the HD 520, but it is still a lower-mid-range GPU. The 940M performs similar to the 840M we reviewed recently<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The notebook can be configured with either 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM<\/a> and a 1TB or 2TB hard drive<\/a>. Optionally, you can select a hybrid version of the 1TB HDD for a snappier performance. A built-in DVD optical drive is included.<\/p>\n

The keyboard sports isle-style keys and has a dedicated numeric pad. Backlight is an optional feature. The keyboard is accompanied by a large trackpad with integrated \u201cmouse\u201d buttons.<\/p>\n

HP\u2019s 15t has stereo speakers, a 720p webcam, Wi-Fi wireless and Ethernet LAN networking port, three USB connectors, HDMI video out, a multi-format media card reader, and optional Bluetooth.<\/p>\n

The notebook ships with a 4-cell 41WHr lithium-ion battery. HP hasn\u2019t provided info on battery life, but given the battery has a mediocre capacity, one can\u2019t expect more than 5 hours of run time on a charge.<\/p>\n

Customer can choose between various colors of the lid, sides and the bottom. Available colors are dark gray, blue, red, purple, and white. In our opinion, the white version is the best looking one. It comes with color-matching white keyboard keys instead of black and the palm-rest is sliver-ish instead of gray.<\/p>\n

The laptop weighs 5.1 and 5.5 pounds without touchscreen and with it, respectively. It is 1″ thick. Dimensions and weight are usual for a 15.6-incher.<\/p>\n

The same machine is available with AMD’s processors too. These are sold under the Pavilion 15z model name. If you want a bigger 17.3-inch display with everything else being the same, you can check out the Pavilion 17t<\/a>.<\/p>\n
