Leak: Dell Prepares Precision M4600, M6600 Mobile Workstations

Dell is working on the Precision M4600 and Precision M6600 mobile workstations, according to Eric G. software engineer.

The Dell Precision M4600 15.6-incher replaces the M4500 and features 15.6″ LED backlight display with optional touch-screen capabilty. Video card choices include professional-class AMD FirePro M5950 1GB GDDR5, NVIDIA Quadro 1000M 2GB GDDR5, and Quadro 2000M 2GB GDDR5.

On the other side, the 17.3-inch Precision M6600 also features LED display backlight and optional touchscreen functionality, but provides higher-end graphics options: the AMD FirePro M8900 2GB GDDR5, Nvidia Quadro 3000M 2GB GDDR5, and Quadro 4000M 2GB GDDR5.

The M4600 and 6600 will reportedly come with the new processors. We assume those will be from Intel’s 2nd Generation Core family, codenamed “Sandy Bridge”.

Eric G. has additionally posted other Dell laptop leaks, including the new Latitude series, next-gen Dell XPS 17, and Alienware M17x details.
