Acer Aspire R13 R7-372T 13.3″ 2-in-1 PC

The Acer Aspire R13 R7-372T is a 2-in-1 Windows 10 notebook with innovative convertible design. The 13.3-inch display can rotate inside its frame, allowing multiple usage scenarios.

The R13 R7-372T is generally a premium-class device. It provides great display resolution options of either 1920×1080 or 2560×1440 pixles, as well as IPS technology for wide viewing angles. A Full HD model we had a chance to see live provided a great picture quality with good contrast and brightness, vibrant colors. It also had a better viewability in a bright environment than most of other touchscreen displays because it had a semi-matte coating instead of usual reflective glossy finish.

The multi-touch LCD is accompanied by a keyboard with well-sized and spaced keys and relatively good key travel, considering this is just another shallow laptop keyboard. The keyboard is accompanied by a well-sized trackpad with integrated click buttons. A problem for some users might be laptop’s somewhat cramped palmrest area. The keyboard deck is made of quality dark gray plastics, while the display lid is covered with glossy but scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.

Despite having a thin and light form factor with a 0.7″ profile and weight of 3.5 pounds, the laptop doesn’t lack important features nor performance. It sports the latest full-blown 6th Generation Intel Skylake processors, namely the mid-range i5-6200U and higher-end i7-6500U dual-core CPUs. Graphics relies on the basic Intel HD 520 GPU, integrated in the processors. You can have either 4GB or 8GB of system memory, and up to 1-Terabyte of fast solid state drive storage.

The Acer Aspire R13 R7-372T features a 720p web camera, stereo speakers, three classic USB ports plus a new USB-C port, HDMI video output connector, a multi-format media card reader, combo audio jack, fast 802.11AC wireless interface, and Bluetooth.

According to the PC maker, the 2-in-1 provides an excellent battery life of up to 10 hours on the Full HD models, and up to 8 hours on the higher-resolution 2560×1440 WQHD version.
