Acer Aspire Switch 10 SW5-011-13GQ (64GB) Laptop / Tablet Hybrid

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 laptop / tablet was previously available only with 32GB of internal storage. Now, Acer has made available a 64GB version of the Windows 8 device with detachable keyboard under the SW5-011-13GQ SKU. Except storage capacity, both models are identical. Besides the standard laptop and tablet PC modes, also supported are “stand” and “tent” modes thanks to Acer’s Snap Hinge. The 10.1-inch display has 1366×768 resolution, IPS wide viewing angle technology, and “Zero Air Gap” between the touch surface and LCD itself. It is powered by the Intel Atom Z3745 processor and Intel HD-series integrated graphics with help of 2GB of RAM memory. This CPU/RAM setup targets light home and office use, including 1080p video decoding. A great benefit for home and office users and students is a pre-installed free copy of Microsoft Office H&S 2013 Edition.

Other important elements of the Switch 10 are isle-style keys on the detachable keyboard, a seamless trackpad on it, brushed-aluminum lid, 2MP front-facing webcam and stereo speakers, a full-size USB port on the dock and a micro USB port, microSD slot, audio jack, and a dedicated power connector on the tablet part.

The tablet part and keyboard dock together weigh 2.5 pounds and are 0.8″ thick.

Acer says the battery life on the device lasts “8 hours” of run time.
