Lenovo’s Yoga 720 15 series is a high-end 15.6-inch convertible 2-in-1 laptop PC. Powerful quad-core Intel Core processors and dedicated video cards are usually reserved for gaming laptops. But this 2-in-1 has them both, packed in a sleek chassis mostly made of aluminum in Iron Grey or Platinum Silver color. Besides a crispy Full HD or Ultra HD IPS wide viewing angle touch-screen mounted on 360-degree hinges, the Yoga 720 15 features the 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ or i5-7300HQ quad-core CPU and an optional Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB video card. They are paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1-Terabyte of fast solid state drive storage. These components are good not only for the daily computing chores, but also for more demanding tasks like audio and video production and playing the latest 3D games.

A handy option of the Lenovo Yoga 720 15 is pen input. Lenovo’s Active Pen supports pressure sensitivity. The Pen requires a Yoga 720 configuration to have Active Pen technology on the display.

The notebook has a backlit keyboard without a dedicated numeric pad, a spacious touchpad, stereo speakers, integrated 720p camera, and a fingerprint reader. There are also 802.11AC Wi-Fi wireless, Bluetooth, a standard-size USB 3.1 port, a compact USB-C 3.1 port with Thunderbolt data transfers support, video output via the same USB-C port, a pair of ordinary USB 3.0 ports, and a combo audio jack. A common laptop feature missing on this system is a media card reader.

Lenovo has included a capacious 72 WHr battery. The manufacturer says it can provide up to nine hours of battery life on Full HD models. UHD displays consume more power, so the battery life is shorter on UDH-equipped models.

The “2-in-1 performance powerhouse” starts at 4.4 pounds. It’s 0.75″ thick.

Operating system choices are Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro.

The Yoga 720 is available in a 13.3″ form factor, too.
