Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen with Windows 8

The 8-inch Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen with Windows OS and Intel Atom processor offers more features than the average Windows/Atom-based tablet. This model sports an innovative design with a kickstand, enabling multi-mode use. The device can stand by itself or be hanged on a wall or elsewhere. Another stand-out feature is AnyPen technology. AnyPen allows use of any ballpoint or graphite pen for writing and drawing on the screen.

Speaking of the screen, it is a strong point of the Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen 8″. Display resolution is high, with a 1920×1200 pixel count. The panel is based on IPS technology, meaning wide viewing angles and accurate colors.

Under the hood, the slate packs one of the Intel Atom power-efficient processor with basic computing performance. The Atom Z3745 is accompanied by 2GB of system memory instead of usual 4GB you can find on the mainstream Windows notebooks, so it isn’t suitable for heavy multi-tasking. Internal storage has 32GB capacity, which imposes some limitations in everyday use. Storage can be expanded via the built-in microSD card slot supporting cards with up to 64GB capacity.

The cylinder-shaped battery of the Yoga Tablet 2 has a high capacity of 6,400 mAh. Lenovo says the battery life can last up to 15 hours, which is an exceptional run time for this kind of devices.

The list of great features doesn’t end here. The slate has a high-quality rear camera, with 8MP sensor, bright f2.2 aperture, and automatic focus. On the front side, there’s a 1.6MP HD camera for web chats.

Furthermore, the tablet sports front-facing stereo speakers backed by Dolby Audio technology, larger than normal speaker chambers, 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless and Bluetooth.

What’s missing on this PC is a video output port. The tablet has only a micro USB port and audio jack.

The device weighs 0.9 pounds.

If you want a bigger screen and a keyboard included in the package, you can check out the 10-inch version.
