Fujitsu LifeBook T4220 “Santa Rosa” Tablet PC Now Available

Fujitsu LifeBook T4220Fujitsu has updated its Tablet PC lineup with the new thin and light LifeBook T4220, based on Intel “Santa Rosa” mobile computing platform.

Fujitsu LifeBook T4220 features Intel Core 2 Duo T7100, T7300, T7500, or T7700 processor and Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset. The GM965 has the integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, which manages the Tablet PC’s 12.1-inch XGA TFT display with 1024×768 resolution and an optional outdoor-use design. The LifeBook T4220 features digital pen input.

This convertible notebook has two memory slots for a total of up to 4GB or DDR2 memory, up to 120GB SATA hard drive at 5400rpm, and a built-in optical drive. For better system responsiveness, Fujitsu provides the optional 1GB Intel Turbo Memory, but this feature can be used only under Windows Vista.

Fujitsu LifeBook T4220 incorporates Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (802.11a/b/g/draft-n) or Atheros Super AG Wireless LAN (802.11a/b/g), depending on configuration, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, and the optional Bluetooth.

It provides Type I/II PCMCIA slot, three USB ports, Infrared port, VGA output, SD/Memory Stick PRO slot, and a docking connector.

For enhanced security, there are a fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module (TPM).

This system weighs starting at 4.3lbs with weight saver and has battery life of up to 4.25 hours with main battery or up to 8 hours using both main and modular bay battery.

The T4220 comes with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 or Windows Vista Business.

Priced at $1,769 for basic configuration, the LifeBook T4220 is available now in Fujitsu’s online store.
