  1. I still have mine, and I got it in late 2008. It’s been dropped down the stairs, had countless BSODs, the battery stopped working years ago, and I’ve even lent it out to people I didn’t think would care for it. I’ve recently installed Windows 10 on it, and it seems to still work. I can’t even fathom how.

    • Mine is still working as well. I am putting win 10 on it right now and donating it to charity. the original power brick died and I got a new one for free that it is paired with. The sticker on the front says built to last. I think it’s an understatement.

  4. After close to 2 years of having this thing, my video is failing on me. This thing can’t really handle surviving a small drop.

  5. Bought the hp g60-945dx from bestbuy.com for around $400 ( $20 back from paypal) . I must say it works great, does not heat up, freeze or anything.
Has 4GM memory, HDMI, Windows 7, an OK camera and hard drive (250 MB), an INTEL processor, and a great high def screen. The mic needed a new driver, that has been the only thing I had to adjust. Highly recomend it.

  6. I recently bought a HP G60:very bad choice!!when I compare the performance of my old toshiba or my Acer to connect to internet with the HP G60,I realize i have thrown my money. This G60 is a calamity.I sincerely regret this purchase. It was my worst choice for year 2009 !!

  7. I bought the D60-120US 32 bit version last October from Circuit City in Plantations, Miami. In December the screen just went blank and will not boot up. I noticed the hibernation light keeps blinking and will not go off even if unit is turned off and back on again. I was told it’s possible the graphics card failed.
The problem is I am in Trinidad W.I., I spoke to HP help desk and they told me that there are no HP repair centers in Trinidad. I was alos told the unit needs to be returned to ther US for the warranty to be effected.
    Please advise.

  8. I am having a great time using my G-60. It’s great for watching movies with the widescreen ratio! The widescreen allows room for the number keypad.
Mine came with 32-bit Windows Vista, but I didn’t buy it at circuit city. I needed the 32-bit version because my Handycam required it.
