Logitech today announced the Logitech Alto notebook stand, a one-piece notebook riser with an integrated, full-size keyboard – “a product that levels the notebook screen with people’s eyes and frees people’s hands from the constraints of a cramped notebook keypad”.
According to the company’s press release, the Logitech Alto takes less than 30 seconds to set up; it’s as simple as placing a notebook PC on the stand and plugging in the USB cable. Alto is compatible with “many notebook PC brands”.
The Alto notebook stand has three built-in USB ports for connecting a variety of peripherals, such as mice, a webcam, an external drive or a printer, to the laptop.
Logitech Alto is expected to be available in the U.S. beginning in January and in Europe beginning in December. Its suggested retail price in the U.S. is $99.99.

Alto does what it says. Needs a way of holding the bottom of the laptop; torque from the unfolded display (top) causes the bottom edge to pop off the rubber ledge.
IDock looks good but don’t see it sold in US; seems to be confused with the idock for the ipod.
i am using idock.it is perfect as Micheal said.
you can see it at idock.com.cn
I love this new Logitech Alto but I see a few misses in the design that I hope will make it in a version 2 of the product. A vented or fan assisted notebook holder and a pointing device. Since the users of this gadget already own notebooks, they work with the touchpad most. This product has a nice potential for success since notebook sales are increasing month afater month.
